Latayvious Brown (Hamilton High School) and Yuri Esteves (North Division High School) were named the Milwaukee City Conference Student-Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 7-13. 

 

Brown posted an unprecedented performance last Friday, amassing 374 yards on 22 carries. Spearheading the Wildcats’ impressive offensive attack, the senior running back and return man hit pay dirt six times on the ground and returned a kickoff 70 yards for another touchdown, lifting Hamilton to a wild 72-54 win over Riverside. 

 

On the other side of the ball, North Division inside linebacker Yuri Esteves was the backbone of the Blue Devils’ strong defensive performance last Thursday night. The senior recorded five total tackles (two of them for loss) and one fumble recovery. Despite North Division’s tight 14-12 loss to Marshall, Esteves topped off his two-way performance with 61 rushing yards and a score.
